Matthieu Venot is a French multidisciplinary artist born in 1979 in Brest, France. Originally trained in music, he discovered photography in 2013 and rapidly developed a singular visual language built on geometric precision, architectural detail, and saturated color.
His work — celebrated for its minimalist approach and its ability to reveal the overlooked beauty of urban structures — has been exhibited internationally across France, the United States, Hong Kong, and Switzerland, and featured in major art fairs including Art Palm Beach and Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong.
In 2018, Tyler, The Creator personally selected Venot as the photographer for his GQ Style Autumn/Winter cover shoot, held in Paris — a collaboration that brought his work to a global audience. His photographs have appeared in Air France Magazine, Aesthetica Magazine, and numerous international publications. Beyond photography, Venot actively explores painting and sound composition, approaching each medium with the same instinctive relationship to color, form, and rhythm that defines his photographic practice.
